Commissioned by New Zealand Mint and minted at the famous BH Mayer of Germany, this stunning silver proof Kiwi Silhouette coin is the first laser-cut silhouette coin to feature 3D engraving. Reverse features the little spotted kiwi amongst flax (harakeke) growing on Kapiti Island.

With incredible depth, the flax has been 3D laser-engraved on the coin, allowing for amazing detail and never-before-seen depth on a silver proof coin. The obverse of the coin shows Ian Rank-Broadley's crowned portrait of Queen Elizabeth II facing right (effigy known as the "Fourth Portrait"). The Queen wears the "Girls of Great Britain and Ireland" diamond tiara, a wedding gift from Queen Mary (Her Majesty's grandmother) in 1947.
