New Zealand, one florin, 1944, mintage approx. This piece shows the current for the time royal portrait on the one side with the legend "GEORGE VI KING EMPEROR".

The opposite side shows a Kiwi, described as foraging for food. Above the Kiwi is "NEW ZEALAND" and below "ONE FLORIN 1944". Both sides show dark toning around the borders with much lighter toning across the fields. Only very light contact can be seen on either side, and a lot of luster is still visible.
